Musicians Bahati and Willy Paul have reconciled after years of public feuding, marking a new chapter in their relationship.
Willy Paul was the first to extend an olive branch to Bahati on Sunday evening, November 17, 2024, publicly apologizing and seeking peace.
In his heartfelt response hours later, Bahati acknowledged the apology and reflected on their shared struggles.
“My Brother @willy.paul.msafi ,Apology Accepted 🙏 We are from far, We have all fought lots of challenges and great poverty in Mathare Slums to become who we are today and as we strive to rise and become great along the way we make a lot of mistakes but what matters is going back and rectifying where we think we did it wrong as our God is a God of Love and Second chances,” Bahati wrote on Instagram.
He emphasized the importance of rectifying past mistakes and the bond they share.
“Above all, no mistake is greater than the brotherhood we share ❤️ #Bros4Life 🤝.”
Willy Paul appreciated Bahati’s positive reception, commenting simply, “One love ❤️ my brother.”
Willy Paul-Bahati feud
The reconciliation marks the end of a feud that often saw heated exchanges, including personal attacks.
Willy Paul admitted to crossing boundaries in the past, particularly involving Bahati’s family in their disputes.
“Looking back on my experiences with my brother, I recognize that I have occasionally crossed boundaries. I hold the concept of family, particularly the children, in high regard,” he reflected while reaching out to Bahati for reconciliation.
Willy Paul also extended his apology to Bahati’s wife Diana Marua and their children, clarifying that his actions were never meant to harm but were misunderstood.
“My actions were never intended to cause harm, but I understand that they were perceived that way, and I sincerely apologize to Diana and the kids for the misunderstanding much love,” he apologized.
