Babu Owino is among the Azimio la Umoja supporters who were arrested yesterday. The Embakasi East member of Parliament has not been seen since yesterday. According to his wife,She has searched in various places without finding him.She has gone to the airport, Muthaiga,Gigiri,Kileleshwa and Embakasi Police station to no avail.It is an alarming story to the wife who spoke to us through the phone call.Fridah Ongili has asked for anyone who knows his whereabouts to report to her or the police. However, on the other hand,Raila Odinga has also spoken about those arrested so far. 
According to the Nation newspaper,Raila Odinga did not reveal his whereabouts as he spoke on the phone. The Azimio la Umoja leader lamented over the whereabouts of Babu Owino whose whereabouts is unknown upto today. Owino was arrested on Wednesday and has not been released yet.However,Odinga stated that his board guard had been released after reports indicated that he had been arrested.
On the other hand,Odinga named his supporters who had been arrested including Babu Owino, Stewart Madzayo(Kilifi senator),Ken Chonga(Kilifi South MP),Teddy Mwambire (Kilifi County speaker).They were arrested yesterday on Wednesday and their whereabouts have not been known.His personal board guard Maurice Ogeta had been arrested but was released later.Embakasi East member of Parliament Babu Owino’s whereabouts have not been known upto now.
On the other hand,Mr.Odinga has urged his supporters to end the demonstrations at 5pm.He termed the first day of the demonstrations as successful. And asked his supporters to resume the demonstrations on Thursday in the morning. The move is to persuade the government to reduce the cost of living as well as improving the economy of the nation.
It remains to be seen what will happen to the arrested Azimio la Umoja supporters especially the leaders in the coming days. However, the demonstrations should be peaceful and Kenyans should avoid damaging properties in the name of demonstrations. We need each other in every moment of our lives.I only hope that everything goes on well.
