The Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition has announced that on Friday, July 28, 2023, they will host a massive Interdenominational Prayer in Nairobi.

National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi announced their plans to organise an Interdenominational Prayer on Friday.

According to Wandanyi the actual location of Friday’ s Interdenominational Prayer will be announced by the opposition soon.

” On Friday, we will be holding a very big Interdenominational Prayer Service here in Nairobi at a venue that shall be communicated in due course” Wandayi said.

On the same Friday, the Azimio faction, the MP said, will launch a fund drive to help the families of those who were killed during the protests.

” On the same day, we hope to launch a very big fund to assist all these cases (of those who lost loved relatives), ” he said.

Wandayi also denied rumours that the protests had been called off by the opposition. He claimed that the Azimio wing changed their strategy this time around so that they could pay their respects to the victims’ families. He predicted that the Demonstrations’ adversaries would make some sort of concession by the weekend.

Wandayi also took this occasion to appeal to individuals who have lost loved ones in the prior protests by saying that they are aware of some cases that have not yet reached their desks and would like to hear from them.b72ce6eccc9a47a3a0e7744e9d98e81b?quality=uhq&resize=720

He added that they believe there are people who were not hurt or killed in the demonstrations but who just became disoriented and wandered off. They believe innocent Kenyans were kidnapped during the protests, thus he advised families in this situation should also contact the opposition.

Opiyo said that calling the former prime minister, Raila Odinga, for a talk through the Twitter handle was one of the acts that showed the he never respected the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition leader, Raila Odinga.
