The governors from Mount Kenya today
According to an update by the head of state President William ruto a few minutes ago, he today held a dialogue meeting with more than 5,000 opinion shapers and captains of industries drawn from Mount Kenya who are currently congregated at the Mount Kenya lodge for the event.
President ruto noted that the main focus for the dialogue was on agriculture and the production of food in the basket rich county, which has continued to stand out in terms of production of food.
The head of state says that the administration is keen on focusing on the production of food to a Shiva that the country is food-secure as opposed to the past where her food was lacking.
The meeting was attended by over six governors drawn from the region including kirinyaga Governor Anne waiguru, Nakuru governor Susan kihika, and Embu governor Cecily mbarire among other leaders.
