The Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Gender and Affirmative Action Hon Aisha Jumwa has made changes to her former gazette notice that saw the appointment of the multisectoral working group on the realization of the two thirds gender principle.
In the earlier notice released on 16th August 2023, Jumwa had been accused by Governance and legal experts over her hypocrisy in selecting the team, which is chaired by Gender Principal Secretary Veronica Nduva. She was criticized for flouting the same principle that the group thought to implement. In the 17 member list she had appointed 16 women and only 1 man, Mr Frankline Mukwanja. 
However, in the new notice released today, the CS has added 8 new men and 1 woman. This now makes the membership of the multisectoral working group on the Realization of the Two-Thirds Gender Principle to 26. There are 17 women in the group and 9 men respectively. In terms of percentage composition, the women represent 65.4 per cent of the group while Men are 34.6 per cent hence adhering to the two-third gender Principle.
