YouTube star Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson got Gordon Ramsay’s seal of approval in the ongoing battle for chocolate dominance between Feastables and Hershey’s.
Over the years, a number of content creators have taken their online success and put it into food and drink brands. Logan Paul and KSI’s Prime Hydration continues to fly, Pokimane’s Myna snacks remain popular, and Ryan Trahan’s Joyride is a hit on TikTok.
MrBeast, however, has had some of the biggest success with Feastables. The chocolate brand went live back in early 2022, and has gone on to release a number of different products across the globe.
The YouTuber has been positioning the brand against the iconic Hershey’s brand in the US, taking the war to the chocolate kings by advertising Feastables in their hometown of Hershey, Pennsylvania. This time, he has played another card against Hershey’s, getting Gordon Ramsay involved.
Gordon Ramsay taste tests Feastables vs Reese’s
Ramsay, who is traditionally a tough critic, was tasked with a blind taste test between Feastables Peanut Butter Cup and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.
“That smells rich, super smooth,” the chef said upon trying the Feastables version. Though, he was less than impressed with the Reese’s. “This is rough, doesn’t really taste like authentic peanut butter. It’s dry on the palette, and the chocolate is sort of disintegrating.
“By far, the one I’d go to again would be the first,” he concluded, giving the seal of approval to MrBeast’s new product.
Some fans were skeptical in the comments, suggesting that Ramsay could tell the difference because of the different shapes and edges on the chocolate.
“He can tell by touching. Make it a fair taste test next time,” one said. “Why are we acting like you can’t tell the difference when you pick it up?” another added.
Some also argued that they’ve already done the same taste test thesmelves and found agreement with the Hell’s Kitchen chef. “I tried it a couple days ago. Your peanut butter cup is 10x better,” one added.
