Neon is climbing into the passenger seat of Michael Mann’s Ferrari, a new film from the celebrated director starring Adam Driver and Penélope Cruz. Ferrari looks to premiere at the Venice Film Festival at the end of August, with Neon acquiring the rights in North America in a competitive situation. According to DeadlineFerrari is racing into theaters on Christmas Day 2023.

Getting behind the wheel for Ferrari is Adam Driver (Marriage Story65) as Enzo Ferrari, with Penélope Cruz (Vanilla SkyBandidas) sitting shotgun as Laura Ferrari. Shailene Woodley (The Fault in Our Stars, Adrift) plays Lina Lardi, Jack O’Connell (UnbrokenStarred Up) plays Peter Collins, Sarah Gadon (Dracula UntoldA Royal Night Out) plays Linda Christian, Patrick Dempsey (EnchantedMade of Honor) plays Piero Taruffi, and Gabriel Leone (Eduardo and MonicaOs Dias Eram Assim) plays Alfonso De Portago.

The plot revolves around a troubled time in the racer’s life in the summer of 1957, with the threat of bankruptcy looming over the Ferrari company. On top of that, the turbulent couple is mourning their one son, as they’re negligent of their other. Through this crisis, Enzo Ferrari decides to race in the great Mille Miglia, which is 1,000 miles across the country of Italy.

Michael Mann directs from a script by Troy Kennedy Martin based on a book by Brock Yates. Mann produces through his Moto Pictures studio alongside P.J. van Sandwijk and John Lesher. Marie Savare, John Friedberg, Lars Sylvest, Thorsten Schumacher, and Gareth West also produce.

Ferrari joins Neon’s library of outstanding films, including Bong Joon Ho’s Parasite, Julia Ducournau’s Titane, Ruben Östlund’s Triangle of Sadness, and more.
