MARKETING EXECUTIVE

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The job holder will be responsible for developing, establishing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet the objectives of the hospital. Understand and effectively manage customer needs as well as designing a process that ensures a memorable customer experience. This role will involve building and cultivating key relationships with potential customers (corporate & non-corporate and other stakeholders involved.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Developing and implementing marketing plans and projects for new and existing services
  • Managing the productivity of the marketing plans and projects and exploring ways of improving existing products and services, and increasing revenue through enrolling new corporate clients and consultants.
  • Conduct market research and analyze current market condition to determine market requirements for existing and future services.
  • Monitoring and analyzing market trends and study competitors, partners and substitute products and services
  • Expand and develop marketing communication platforms including social media platforms.
  • Determine and manage the marketing budget and deliver marketing activity within agreed budget this should be in close collaboration with the Business Development and marketing manager
  • Generate and maintain detailed reports to track patients experience through the current process and assess gaps that may need improvement.
  • Evaluate, review and report on all marketing activity and results.
  • Identify and map the target customers (corporate & non-corporate).
  • Plan and organize Initiatives like camps, seminars and conferences to increase service and product promotion participation and doctors’ referrals.
  • Organize outreach programs with prospective patient communities.
  • Assist in designing, printing brochures, leaflets and other hospital marketing materials.
  • Track leads mediated through above CMEs, camps and seminars etc. to tap new corporate tie-ups, convert referrals etc.
JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of five years working experience in aggressive marketing and sales.
  • Experience gained from Hospitals and Insurance will have an added advantage.

SHL/HRD/01/12/23: REGISTRATION/PRE-AUTHORIZATION CLERKS

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The job holder will be responsible for ensuring efficient and orderly admission of inpatients, registration of outpatients, ensuring that accurate patient information is collected and verifying insurance benefits and eligibility also ensuring that all incoming telephone calls are promptly and courteously answered and routed to the correct extensions within the Hospital.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Register patients accurately and in a timely manner making sure all information is correct, insurance is verified at the time of registration and all applicable signatures are obtained.
  • Collect applicable co-pays/co-insurance/deductibles, post payments, give receipts among others correlated functions
  • Co-ordinate completion of prior authorization, if needed from insurance through verifying patients’ insurance eligibility
  • Work with insurance plans to pre-authorize and re-authorization of patient services;
  • Maintain contact management regarding status of authorization and any additional documentation or information needed;
  • Greet each patient and visitor courteously and respectfully.
  • Directs patients and visitors to appropriate areas after every stage especially for those patients and visitors that are unsure of where they need to go within the hospital.
  • Answer switchboard promptly and courteously following all protocols set up with transferring calls to departments.
  • Monitor patient wait times both before and after registration keeping them notified of any delays and waits.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Assessing, diagnosing and treating diet-related problems and raising awareness of the link between food, lifestyle and health to prevent future problems. It also involves translating scientific information about nutrition into practical advice to help patients make health-conscious decisions about food and lifestyle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Take social, medical and dietary history of the patient
  • Provide nutritional counseling and create a clinical treatment plan
  • Evaluate the nutritional needs of patients and provide individual treatment plan
  • Perform exercise, anthropometry and lifestyle assessment and advise on weight-management plans
  • Collaborate with other health professionals on nutrition management for individual patients
  • Provide education to participants in nutrition principles, dietary plans, food selection and substance abuse when necessary
  • Address patients’ individual needs by assuring appropriate referral and follow-up
  • Determine the level of urgency of follow-up for patients aftercare
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information
  • Referring complicated cases for specialized medical management
  • To conduct medical camps, give health talks and conduct anthropometric measurements, and interpret the results.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To provide professional and compassionate nursing care to patients by following established standards and practices. It involves promoting and restoring patients’ health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Preparing equipment and ensuring examination rooms are clean and stocked with required supplies and materials;
  • Triage of patients; taking vital signs
  • Identifying patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements
  • Decontaminate and sterilize used instruments and treatment rooms
  • Providing counseling services to patients as and when necessary
  • Keep files and records for each patient
  • Undertaking health talks both at personal and collective level
  • Aiding physician as required during treatment, examination, emergencies and surgical procedures
  • Ensuring Triage is well stocked with emergency trays and drugs are within expiry dates.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The overall purpose is to carry out diagnostic tests in line with established protocols in order to facilitate clinicians to make proper diagnosis and provide appropriate treatment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receive and analyze laboratory specimens.
  • Maintain appropriate internal controls in the laboratory to ensure the validity of reports.
  • Manage routine and planned preventive maintenance of equipment
  • Perform tests with maximum efficiency ensuring maximum utilization of reagents and time following laid down standard operating procedures.
  • Communicate urgent/critical/abnormal test results within the recommended time and maintain appropriate documentation.
  • Observe/comply with Health and safety requirements in the laboratory by maintaining high standards of hygiene and general cleanliness in the work area.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Participate in continuous medical education
  • Receive specimens for pathology and carry out appropriate testing observing internal quality checks to ensure validity of test results.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor or designee
KEY COMPETENCIES
  • Higher Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent from a recognized institution
  • Registration with Kenya Medical Laboratory Technician and Technologists Board is mandatory

SHL/HRD/05/12/23: PHARMACIST

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To ensure that high-quality standards are maintained at all times in the provision of medication and medical consumables per the Savannah defined policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure all processed drug orders are counter-signed at all times
  • Ensure that the Pharmacy is well stocked as per the set re-order levels. Do daily counts, spot counts, monthly stock takes and give a timely, accurate report with valid explanation on variances and expiries to the Chief Executive Officer
  • Notify the doctors and nurses and other clinical team on out of stock drugs
  • Prevention of medication errors by counter-checking and verifying the prescription/ treatment sheets on doses, allergies, patient identification, right drug, eligibility and give clear usage instructions.
  • Check on Drugs/surgical items expiry dates;
  • Check expiries of the allocated shelf and emergency trolley monthly (ensure short-expiry items are replaced) and inform the concerned parties
  • Enhance FIFO/FEFO on short-expiry drugs and share the short-expiry list with the doctors to assist in prescribing.
  • Client satisfaction;
    1. Ensure client satisfaction through high quality of service, effective communication, prompt feedback and escalation of any unresolved issues to the relevant person for follow up.
    2. Ensure that the standardized tool for patient satisfaction feedback is filed for measurement, follow-up and improvement.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Any other duty as assigned by the management from time to time
