The TDB Volunteer Program is an initiative of TDB Group whose aim is to promote volunteerism as a mean for expanding and diversifying the talent pool available for the advancement of sustainable development in TDB’s Group Member States.

The TDB Volunteer Program seeks to attract qualified and highly motivated volunteers, with outstanding technical, professional and leadership qualifies, to support the work of TDB Group through its various constituent business units and affiliated institutions.

Job Summary

The Analyst supports the Strategy team by conducting ongoing operational analysis focusing on process efficiency and alignment to TDB Group’s strategy. The position holder also builds and maintains detailed research on markets developments, macroeconomic and sector trends as well as prepares up-to-date reports referencing reputable global databases. 

Responsibilities

The key roles and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Provide analysis to ensure the Bank’s effective and optimal use of resources and capital to drive revenue and profit.
  • Work as assigned on Lean Six Sigma projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct macro-economic analysis using data sources from reputable global databases.
  • Perform internal data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Complete ad-hoc reporting and continual process improvement to increase efficiencies across the business.
  • Prepare up-to-date reports giving insight into TDB markets and key sectors.
  • Prepare proposals and presentations for the strategy function.
  • Support various operation-related projects and initiatives in the department.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • A master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, Data Analytics or related field, with relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CFA or equivalent as added advantage.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a professional services firm, investment bank and/or cross border commercial lending environment.
  • Robust analytical and qualitative orientation with financial modelling and conceptual skills encompassing finance, investment, risk management and corporate finance.
  • Excellent problem solving, negotiation, organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, manage dynamic priorities, strong professional independence, unquestionable integrity and able to work under pressure to deliver on strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • A results-oriented individual with excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English is a requirement. Knowledge of another official language of TDB Group’s member states is desirable.

The duty station is Nairobi, Kenya.
