Qualifications:

1. Retail Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in a retail environment as a Cashier, Shop Attendant, Loss Control Officer, or in a similar role is required. This experience will be crucial in understanding the demands of the position.
2. Basic Computer Knowledge: Proficiency in basic computer operations is essential for this role. You should be comfortable using electronic equipment such as cash registers, POS systems, barcode scanners, and PDQs. Familiarity with software used for stockkeeping, sales, and bookkeeping is a plus.
3. Mathematical Skills: Strong mathematical skills are necessary to handle cash transactions accurately and identify numerical errors promptly. Attention to detail in counting and calculations is crucial.
4. Communication Skills: Effective communication is key in a retail setting. You should be able to interact with customers and colleagues in a friendly and helpful manner. Good verbal and written communication skills are important.
5. Time Management: Retail can be fast-paced, so the ability to manage your time efficiently is essential. You should be able to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
