Planning Engineer – Convergent Charging Solution (CCS)
Job Description
Reporting to: CCS Planning and Evolution Lead – Revenue Management
The position holder will work with the Revenue Management, CBS Planning and Evolution team to design, configure, and deploy upgrades/new solutions. They will be expected to guarantee quality through proper configurations, systems integration testing, user acceptance testing, and advice on improvements in customer experience and journey.
Responsibilities
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for:
- Evolution of the Converged Charging Platform:
- Aligning the platform with industry trends.
- Setting up the platform across infrastructure, database, and applications.
- System integration to Northbound and Southbound interfacing network elements (e.g., CRM, ERP, GSM core network, SMSC).
- Solution Development Cycles:
- Performing upgrades on the Convergent Charging Platform.
- Documenting system processes and flows.
- Reviewing and contributing to the test cases based on the services in scope.
- Executing SITs (Systems Integration Tests) and supporting UATs (User Acceptance Tests) of new products & services.
- Ensuring Quality and Accuracy:
- Addressing all customer-related issues.
- Understanding customer operations deeply.
- Working passionately with team members.
- Automating processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in IT, Computer Science, Telecommunication, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years working as an engineer in a telecommunications environment (vendor or operator).
- Strong Linux/Unix skills, database skills, and analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Huawei Convergent Billing System (CBS) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of GSM technologies.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, Robotic Process Automation, and Cloud technologies is an added advantage.
- Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
