Radisson Blu Residence Nairobi is looking for a Purchasing Receiving Clerk to join its Finance team. This role involves ensuring the efficient receipt, quality control, and documentation of goods delivered to the hotel.Key Responsibilities
- Receiving Goods:
- Accept products from suppliers as per the Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) issued.
- Verify that the quality and quantity of the products meet the hotel’s standards.
- Verification and Coordination:
- Ensure the correct number of items are delivered at the correct prices according to the LPO.
- Coordinate with the purchasing agent for guidance in case of discrepancies in quantity or price.
- Stock and Record Management:
- Safely hand over received goods to the storekeeper.
- Update inventory records in the system with accurate details, ensuring correct unit and price entry.
- Maintain proper documentation by attaching delivery notes, goods received notes (stamped by both the storekeeper and security), and invoices.
- Reporting and Compliance:
- Submit daily receiving reports to the Cost Controller along with invoices and delivery documentation.
- Participate in monthly stock-taking activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments, including purchasing, storekeeping, and cost control.
