Presidential Digital Talent Internship Programme 2024/2025 Open For Application

The Presidential Digital Talent Internship Programme (PDTP) 2024/2025 is now accepting applications from eligible and ambitious young Kenyans.

This prestigious internship program is a transformative initiative aimed at preparing recent graduates for leadership in digital and technology-driven sectors.

Through structured training and hands-on experience, successful applicants will gain invaluable skills and insights to thrive in Kenya’s fast-evolving digital landscape.

Available Internship Positions:

  1. Network & Digital Infrastructure (150 positions)
  2. Software Development & Artificial Intelligence (AI) (100 positions)
  3. Information Security (50 positions)
  4. Multimedia (Graphic Design) & Digital Marketing (50 positions)
  5. Data Analytics (50 positions)

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the PDTP 2024/2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Academic Qualifications:
    Applicants must have graduated with First-Class Honors or Upper Second-Class Honors (or their equivalent) from a recognized university in the past two years (from January 2022 onward). If you are awaiting graduation by December 2024, you can still apply. In this case, you must provide a recommendation or reference letter signed and stamped by your university, along with a transcript indicating that you are set to graduate with First-Class or Upper Second-Class Honors.
  2. Relevant Areas of Study:
    Eligible applicants must hold degrees in disciplines such as BSc. ICT, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication, or Software Engineering. A solid understanding of your chosen specialization—whether it is Network & Digital Infrastructure, Software Development & AI, Information Security, Multimedia (Graphic Design) & Digital Marketing, or Data Analytics—is essential. Be prepared to demonstrate your technical competencies during the selection process.
  3. Age and Employment Status:
    Applicants must be Kenyan youth aged between 21 to 29 years and currently unemployed.
  4. Government Internship Experience:
    Candidates should not have previously participated in any other government internship programs, including those offered by the Public Service Commission (PSC).
  5. Willingness to Serve:
    Successful candidates should be ready to be deployed to any government agency or department (MDCA) within Kenya’s 47 counties. You must be willing to commit to working full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  6. Inclusivity:
    The program encourages applications from female candidates, persons with disabilities, and graduates from Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) regions.
