About the Role
We are seeking a Vice Chair for the Expansion Committee – Operations. This part-time, internal role (approximately 50% of the individual’s time) is crucial in establishing new medical centers on schedule, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering community engagement.
The Vice Chair will work closely with the Co-Chair, Operations, and senior leadership, leading pivotal tasks in regulatory compliance and community partnerships for the successful launch and operation of our expanding network.
Key Responsibilities
- Permits and Regulatory Approvals:
- Secure necessary permits and approvals for new medical centers.
- Coordinate with local authorities to ensure timely acquisition of licenses and certifications.
- Healthcare Licensing and Compliance:
- Obtain and maintain healthcare licenses for each new location.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and oversee facility inspections and certifications.
- Strategic Expansion Discussions:
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to align on market opportunities and address community health needs.
- Community and Event Management:
- Plan and execute launch events, engaging local communities and stakeholders for each new center.
Key Qualifications, Skills & Education
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, focusing on regulatory, compliance, and operations.
- Healthcare and Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare licensing, regulatory requirements, and compliance in the Kenyan healthcare system.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to engage in high-level discussions with stakeholders, driving Penda Health’s network expansion in alignment with strategic goals.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
- Event Planning: Prior experience in community or corporate event planning is an added advantage.
