Scope of work
Pigia Penda is the official Penda Health Call Center Platform handling both Telemedicine and General
Customer requests virtually. We are searching for caring and friendly nurses who want to become
part of a team of amazing all-around, evidence-based nurses. Being a nurse at Penda
Health includes a lot more than your usual job. You treat patients independently and make your own
decisions, with the support of guidelines, technology, and clinical mentors.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct follow-up calls for high-risk and well-baby patients to monitor progress, ensure treatment adherence, and provide guidance to improve health outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Penda’s healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Perform virtual consultations and triage as or when needed via Pigia Penda.
- Deliver home-based nursing services, including wound dressing, injections, and other essential care, ensuring patients receive timely, quality care at home.
- Accurately record patient data in real-time using Penda’s electronic medical record.
- Deliver quality patient education and ensure a positive patient experience.
- Embrace and develop within Penda’s evidence-based protocols, participating in continuous professional development.
- Work with the Clinical Team Lead and Pigia Penda Manager to identify and implement process improvements for enhanced clinical operations.
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the Clinical Team lead or Pigia Penda Manager.
- Uphold ethical standards and Penda’s Vision and Values while fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements for the Role:
- Diploma in Nursing – KRCHN holding a valid practicing license from NCK.
- Valid BLS certification is mandatory, ACLS is an added advantage
- Minimum of 1 years experience in a busy Healthcare Facility
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare call centre.
- Demonstrated experience in MCH/FP
- Good communication (written and verbal) skills, outstanding patient interaction skills.
- Strong demonstrated ability to use electronic health records and digital health tools
