About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Officer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in delivering patient-focused care, diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including detailed patient histories, physical exams, and diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic conditions using evidence-based care approaches.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
- Provide counseling and health education to patients and their families.
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date medical records for all patient interactions.
- Participate in clinical audits and contribute to implementing best practices for quality improvement.
- Mentor and supervise junior medical staff to support their professional growth.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: MBChB from a recognized medical institution.
- Licensing: Active registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDB).
- Experience: At least 2 years in an outpatient setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and treating diverse medical conditions; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
