Responsibilities Duties:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety Management Systems (SMS): o Develop, implement, and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices. o Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the SMS, making improvements as necessary.

2. Regulatory Compliance: o Stay updated on aviation regulations and ensure that the company adheres to all applicable safety regulations and standards. o Liaise with regulatory authorities and participate in audits and inspections.

3. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: o Identify potential safety hazards and assess risks associated with company operations. o Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize safety risks.

4. Safety Training and Education: o Coordinate safety training programs for staff to ensure awareness and understanding of safety protocols and procedures. o Provide guidance and support to staff on safety-related matters.

5. Incident Investigation and Reporting: o Lead investigations into safety incidents or accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. o Prepare and submit timely and accurate safety reports to regulatory authorities as required.

6. Emergency Response Planning: o Develop and maintain emergency response plans to effectively manage safety-related emergencies. o Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency procedures.

7. Safety Culture Promotion: o Foster a culture of safety throughout the organization by promoting safety awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement. o Encourage open communication channels for reporting safety concerns or near misses.

8. Any other duties assigned in relation to the role by a person of authority.

Academic Qualifications/Professional Skills/Expertise:

a) Technical qualification in aircraft maintenance, flight operations, or ground operations.

b) Minimum of five years’ experience in aircraft maintenance, flight operations, or ground operations.

c) Successful completion of a safety management systems course recognized by the Authority.

d) Strong knowledge of aviation safety regulations and industry standards.

e) Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

f) Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
