NCIA Hiring Supply Chain Management Officer And Internal Auditor

The Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration (NCIA), established under the NCIA Act No. 26 of 2013, plays a pivotal role in promoting international commercial arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms. With a mandate to facilitate arbitration processes and position Kenya as a key hub for ADR in Africa, NCIA is inviting qualified and dynamic individuals to join its growing team.

NCIA is currently seeking to fill the following positions:

1. Supply Chain Management Officer – NCIA 5 (Ref. No: NCIA/HR/03/2024-2025)
No. of Positions: 1
The Supply Chain Management Officer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the procurement of goods, works, and services. The ideal candidate will ensure the NCIA’s procurement processes are transparent, competitive, and aligned with national laws and regulations. Responsibilities will include procurement planning, inventory management, and supplier relationship management. The role will also involve implementing policies and strategies to enhance efficiency in the supply chain process.

2. Internal Auditor – NCIA 5 (Ref. No: NCIA/HR/04/2024-2025)
No. of Positions: 1
The Internal Auditor will be tasked with evaluating the organization’s internal control systems, risk management, and governance processes. The successful candidate will conduct audits and reviews, providing insights on operational efficiencies and compliance with relevant laws and policies. The role will also involve recommending corrective actions to improve financial and operational performance.

Key Requirements for Both Positions:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
  • Professional certification or membership in a relevant body will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly in the use of procurement and financial management systems.

Upon successful selection, candidates will be required to meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, which includes:

  • Clearance from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB),
  • A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID),
  • Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC),
  • A valid Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
