The successful candidate will fill in the below position(s).

Treatment Adherence Services Counsellor

Main Duties

  •  Provide HIV testing and counseling services in line with the national guideline
  •  Conducting treatment preparation sessions and health talk in support group (group or one-on-one) for newly identified Positive clients
  •  Conduct enhanced adherence counseling sessions (EACs) for patients having detectable viral loads
  •  Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary care team (MDT) including attending required meetings
  •  Promote and strengthen the provision of disclosure counseling, adherence counselling, encouraging partner& family testing and facilitate referral of clients to facilities of their choice where they can access CCC services
  •  Conduct priority home visits under the guidance of the facility clinical and TAS team for all PLHIV which include newly enrolled clients, new ART initiates within 2 weeks, patients who miss appointments and do not report back to the facility after 2 weeks
  •  Reviewing the Registers and Kenya EMR daily to track linkage of new positives and interruption of treatment for those already on care and intervene as required
  •  Submit relevant reports and participate in the facility’s data review meetings
  •  Awareness creation, screening and appropriate referral of survivors of gender-based violence
  •  In liaison with TAS Lead coordinate all existing Cohort support groups for newly identified positive clients and ensure 100% attendance; Ensure registration of new clients and timely follow up
  •  Participate in external quality assessment in relation to HIV testing and counseling
  •  Ensure patients’ privacy and confidentiality is maintained at all times
  •  Collaborate with community health volunteers and peer educators and HTS /TAS teams to provide telephonic tracing services for patients with interrupted in treatment (IIT)
  •  Promoting the ‘Welcome Back’ strategy and Implement case management of clients returning to care
  •  Provide support to psychosocial support groups, including children, adolescents, youths, discordant couples, men and women
  •  Provide trauma counselling to survivors of gender-based violence
  •  Keep and maintain basic and accurate records of PLHIV registers, such as the OTZ, Viral load registers
  •  Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor

Required Qualifications for the Position

  •  Degree in Counselling psychology
  •  Certification in HTS Mandatory (NASCOP Certified)
  •  Must be registered with the Kenya Counselling Psychological Association (KCPA)
  •  3-year Experience in providing PITC Services and HIV adherence services
  •  Trauma counselling certificate is an added advantage
  •  Excellent oral and written communication skills
  •  Computer literacy

Faith Community Initiative (FCI) Counsellor

Main Duties

  •  Providing HIV Testing Eligibility screening using the provided eligibility screening tools and in line with the national HIV testing guidelines
  •  Supporting HIV pre and post-test counselling for HIV self-testing and assisted self-testing for willing clients
  •  Following up on HIV self-testing outcomes and ensuring appropriate linkage to an ART facility for confirmatory testing and linkage to ART
  •  Supporting Assisted Partner Notification Services (aPNS) for those confirmed
  •  Ensuring timely monitoring and evaluation of Self-testing interventions within the Health Kiosk in the self-testing register and monthly summary reports
  •  Providing health wellness talks/education including lifestyle and behaviour change
  •  Supporting biometric measures such as height, weight, BMI, and BP for clients seeking these services in the Health Kiosks
  •  Ensuring utilization of testing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) testing algorithm / guidelines, adhering to infection prevention control guidelines, waste management guidelines, and waste segregation bins
  •  Providing psychosocial disclosure counselling, encouraging partner / family testing and facilitating referral of clients to facilities where they can access other health services of their choice
  •  Developing a documentation / tracking system to ensure referral and follow-up within and beyond the institution to Comprehensive care clinics
  •  Storing and using the HTC commodities according to the national guidelines
  •  Screening all clients for PrEP, TB and SGBV and referring eligible clients accordingly

Required Qualifications for the Position

  •  Diploma in Counselling Psychology
  •  Certified HIV and counselling provider by National AIDS and STI Control Program (NASCOM)
  •  3-year Experience in providing PITC Services and HIV Health Education
  •  Conversant with Community work
  •  A recommendation letter from Parish Priest

Risk & Compliance Officer

Position Summary

  •  Co-ordinating the implementation of risk and compliance framework; risk identification, assessment and mitigation process
  •  Support the embedding of Risk Management into the operations of the Hospital
  •  Performing independent reviews on compliance with the Hospitals laid policies and procedures; observance of regulatory requirements and highlight exceptions or violations
  •  Coordinating the Risk & Compliance Departments general administrative& Operational functions

Key Responsibilities

  •  Coordinating and improving risk management within departments
  •  Reviewing all internal and external audit reports for reporting and remediation
  •  Monitoring and reporting on any adverse Key Performance Indicator/ Key Risk Indicator trends that arise
  •  Monitoring resolution of all associated Internal Audit recommendations post audit issues
  •  Tracking and analyzing incidences of fraud (successful and attempted) identifying causes and implementing with respective units’ comprehensive measures to close loopholes
  •  Supporting the training of staff on Risk and Control Self-Assessment
  •  Coordinating the operationalization of the risk and control self-assessment (RCSA) framework across the hospital
  •  Ensuring development and implementation of continuous risk identification and assessment program through timely completion of RCSA’S and Risk Reports
  •  Working with Business units within the hospital to establish, maintain and continuously improve risk management capabilities
  •  Supporting the development and improvement of Risk related Standard Operating Policies and Procedures across the various Business and Support units
  •  Interdepartmental support in collecting and collating risk and compliance management information for management review
  •  Championing documentation of inter-departmental Service Level Agreements during quality assurance reviews
  •  Business Continuity Management through updating, training of staff, testing as per schedule and supporting the development and implementation of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) framework for the hospital
  •  Coordinating the administrative and logistical duties of the risk and compliance department

Required Qualifications for the Position

  •  University graduate with a business,Legal and/ or IT academic background
  •  A risk, audit, and information security risk-related professional qualification is an added advantage
  •  3 years working experience in the healthcare industry, with sound exposure to hospital operations, regulatory and compliance requirements
  •  Well-rounded knowledge of the hospital’s operations and processes and excellent knowledge of hospital policies and procedures
  •  Ability to anticipate and mitigate risk by developing appropriate risk management policies for the hospital
  •  Well informed on relevant regulatory requirements and risk management guidelines in healthcare
  •  Working knowledge of quality management systems especially in healthcare
