Madison General Insurance Kenya Limited, a subsidiary of Madison Group and a leading provider of general insurance products throughout Kenya, is recruiting for the above positions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Processing of underwriting transactions such as new businesses, renewals and endorsements.
  2. Processing and issuance of motor certificates, valuation letters, cover notes and yellow cards.
  3. Advice, process and update policies as per the valuation reports.
  4. Underwriting and processing work allocated from immediate supervisor and ensuring all debits are put through in the correct month to facilitate premium collection.
  5. Assisting clients in identifying our products that suits their needs in line with insurance principles.
  6. Prepare and issue cancellation notices in case of non-payment of premium for specified covers
  7. Preparation and issuance of renewal notices sixty dates before renewal date.
  8. Follow up renewals to ensure retention targets met
  9. Assist in claims handling.
  10. Assist in preparation and issuing quotations.
  11. Attending to all telephone enquiries by our clients and intermediaries as well as giving clarifications and guidance where necessary.
  12. Liaising with other departments on matters related to work at my disposal and any other enquiries that point towards a better working environment.
  13. Liaising with intermediaries’ brokers and agents to solve any problems they may have and ensure efficient service delivery.
  14. Assist in reconciliation by debiting all risk notes both for Corporate, Branch and Bancassurance section
  15. Assist in preparing loss ratios and risk reviews.
  16. Any other duties that may be allocated from time to time.

Skills and Competencies Required

  1. Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  2. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  3. Excellent customer care skills.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  5. Computer literate in MS Office and other office applications.
  6. Technical competence in insurance.
  7. Basic knowledge of regulations by IRA.

Academic /Professional Qualification

  1. Up to (1) year relevant experience.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in business or in a related field.
  3. Good progress in professional qualification in Insurance (IIK).
