The Data Analyst will support the project lead in executing operational and administrative tasks for the “Advancing Human Security & Community Trust” project. This involves human rights monitoring and mitigation initiatives for security agencies and communities in Garissa, Mandera, and Wajir Counties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in data collection from various sources such as government reports, NGOs, and field investigations.
- Clean and preprocess data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and readiness for analysis.
- Conduct basic statistical analysis to identify trends and generate reports.
- Maintain the organization’s data repository and organize data for easy retrieval.
- Prepare documentation on data sources and methodologies.
- Assist in literature reviews and collaborate with research teams for data insights.
- Contribute to reports, briefs, and presentations summarizing findings for stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in data analysis, particularly related to human rights.
- Strong analytical, communication, and attention to detail skills.
- Knowledge of international human rights frameworks is a plus.
- Familiarity with data management systems is beneficial.
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
