Kirinyaga University is a chartered government owned and established under the Universities Act
No.42 of 2012.
At present, the University runs degree programmes across four faculties; Health
Sciences, Business and Education, Pure and Applied Sciences and Engineering and Technology.
The University, situated about 115 kilometers from Nairobi, is among the vibrant and fastest growing
citadels of learning in Kenya.
The University invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons with excellent

SECURITY GUARDS GRADE 3
Duties & Responsibilities
a) Undertake patrols.
b) Ensuring integrity of University perimeter fence.
c) Protection of University properties against losses & damage.
d) Enforcement of University rules and regulations.
e) Assist in firefighting.
f) Maintenance of law and order within University.
g) Traffic control.
h) Undertake surveillance duties.
i) Vetting of staff, visitors and students accessing/exiting university.
j) Prevention of crime.
k) Reporting and recording of security incidents.
l) Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements
- K.C.S.E Certificate.
- On-the-job training or service in the disciplined forces.
- National Youth Service Training.
- Three (3) years’ experience of security service.
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
