The Society is seeking a qualified professional in the following position
Position summary
The overall objective of the position takes overall responsibility of ensuring that all transactions are recorded accordingly.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank records and ensure that outstanding items are followed up and cleared
- Monitor bank balances
- Manage banking relationships
- Receive donor funds to ensure and refunds from staff
- Highlight discrepancies to relevant departments
- Report on bank reconciliations for branch and Regional accounts
- Periodic archival & Filing of all reconciliation reports and statements
- Allocate invoices to the respective projects and the appropriate budget lines
- Undertake supplier reconciliations
Prepare financial reports on payables
- File and remit KRA returns
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or related field
Desired Competencies
- Candidate should be familiar with KRCS finance systems/processes
- Candidate should be volunteer with KRCS in the North Eastern Region
- 1st degree in Business management/accounting/Bachelor of Commerce is preferred
- A strong sense of business ethics including the ability to appropriately handle confidential information.
