JOB PURPOSE:
The Pathogen Epidemiology and Omics (PEO) Group is a focused on uncovering epidemiological and immunological dynamics of top viral respiratory (e.g. influenza, SARS-COV-2, RSV, hMPV, etc) and intestinal (e.g. rotavirus, norovirus, adenovirus etc ) infections.
The group runs community and hospital-based studies, most of which are linked to the laboratory processing of participant samples for diagnosis, genomic and immunological characterisation. We are offering a laboratory technologist  position for a highly motivated person to join the current laboratory team. The successful candidate will provide technical laboratory support to help the group meet its current research objectives

JOB PURPOSE:
The post-doctoral researcher will be responsible for 1) co-leading a body of work in the field of Implementation Science, with a particular focus on Routine Data Systems in Africa, specifically Civil and Vital Registration Services (CRVS) in Kenya 2) supporting and contributing to the capacity-building initiatives of the Population and health impact surveillance group (PHISG), 3) Supervision and mentorship of Ph.D. students and research assistants, 4) Contribute and support policy engagement initiatives of PHISG, and 5) develop own body of work and mobilize research funding to support their transition to research independence.

JOB PURPOSE:
The Kenya Medical Research Institute Research Programme (KWTRP) is part of the Lancet Haematology Commission on Anaemia, a diverse group of experts working to address key challenges and research opportunities needed to activate progress in reductions in the burden of anaemia globally. We seek to recruit a research officer to join the Epidemiology and Demographics Department to support with this important work.
The successful candidate will support the PI and other Commission members in the activities of the Lancet Haematology Commission on Anaemia. The role will include data analyses, performing systematic reviews, coordinating meetings, and drafting and revising manuscripts.
