Organization background:
Established in 1951, IOM is a related organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN agency in the field of migration, it works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners to promote humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. IOM works with partners, government and civil society to:
- Assist in meeting the operational challenges of migration and mobility
2. Advance understanding of migration issues
3. Encourage social and economic development through migration; and
4. Uphold the human dignity and well-being of migrants and mobile populations.
Project Scope:
Funded by the Government of Norway, through the Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF), the
Circular Economy in the County Industrial and Industrial Parks” Project is a 12-month pilot project that seeks to foster sustainable and circular business practices in agrifood systems contributing to the green transformation of agrifood systems in Kenya.
Leveraging the County Aggregation and Industrial Parks (CAIPS), the project uniquely aims to contribute to improved food and nutrition security by creating opportunities in and enabling producers, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and other private sector investors to harness potentials
