Internship Opportunity Open At Palladium

The Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Intern will be supporting the MEL advisor with project data collection management and data quality checks. S/he will assist the MEL Advisor review data shared by the implementing partners during the reporting periods to ensure its complete and accurate as well as support with the verification process which includes review of data validation documents and verification processes.

Other roles will include data cleaning, tools development and data collection for CFYE and support with data management on Share point. Support Country team to facilitate learning events to ensure promising practices, success/failure factors, lessons learned, and recommendations are identified across the Country portfolio.  

Deliverables:

– Prepare a database for the implementing partners as per request for outputs and outcomes. 
– Assist with documentation of datasets and Salesforce reports and dashboards for all IPs 
– Establish protocols with the MEL and Programs team for consistently updating the tracking tool and communicating updates internally 

Requirements: 

– Relevant MEL or Data Management knowledge and skills.  
– Data synthesize and analytical skills especially Ms. Excel. 
– Some experience using both qualitative and quantitative data collection/research techniques. 
– Proficient in English (verbal and writing skills). 
– Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities effectively and efficiently. 
– Demonstrated ability to effectively convene, coordinate and communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders. 
– This role will be based in Kenya and requires the incumbent to understand the Kenya context. 
– Able to work well with a variety of individuals in a cross-cultural setting.

Core Competencies:

– Strong communication skills – an ability to clearly communicate (both written and oral) complex results to technical and non-technical audiences.
– Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities effectively and efficiently often within a required timeframe.
– Basic knowledge in office suit (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
– Strong business acumen.

Level of Effort and Reporting: 

Full time for a period of 3 months (July 2024-September 2024). The assignment will start in mid-July 2024.
