I&M Bank Hiring Assistant General Manager

Purpose

The jobholder will ensure the seamless enhancement and innovation of the Bank’s banking applications and services, including the provision of comprehensive administrative support for assigned applications. This role is critical in driving superior customer experiences and operational efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight on all Core Banking support elements including running of End of Day (EOD) tasks, generation of business reports, system resource and capacity planning, Way4 EOD, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Security Patching and Upgrades, Service Monitoring and
    recovery, recommend best practice in enterprise architecture, enforce controls, Support for subsidiary systems.
  • Assist in defining policies and enforcing compliance pertaining to system access, controls, and procedures to protection the banking applications against potentials risks associated with data loss, corruption, financial loss and/or unauthorized system access.
  • Provide support during projects, testing, and post go-live support.
  • Responsible for the Allocation of ICT Run Technical Resource persons.
  • Ensure applications are scalable, secure and compliant with industry standards.
  • Identify opportunities for product enhancements and drive their implementation.
  • Ensure that all banking applications and services adhere to regulatory requirements and security standards.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners to integrate third- party solutions when necessary. 
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.

Person Specifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • A Master’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
  • At least 10 years relevant experience in IT and Banking.
  • Excellent people management and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in Banking Financial Services and Insurance segments.
