icipe seeks to recruit a Research Officer II in the Social Science and Impact Assessment Unit. The position is tenable in Nairobi at the icipe Duduville campus. This is a two-year contract, renewable subject to continued position needs, funding for the position, and performance of the staff member. This is a nationally recruited position. Overall Purpose of the Job
The position holder will contribute to the overall objectives of the Social Science and Impact Assessment Unit.
Specific Duties
- Design and implement baseline, mid-line, and end-line socio-economic surveys for the various projects and programmes conducted by the Social Science and Impact Assessment Unit.
- Develop survey instruments using hard copies and electronically using Cspro digital templates.
- Conduct enumerators training and supervise data collection.
- Clean, merge, and troubleshoot both primary and secondary datasets.
- Analyze data and write survey reports.
- Draft research papers.
- Conduct other activities as assigned by scientists and supervisors from the Social Science and Impact Assessment Unit.
- Conduct literature review and synthesize data to articles for peer review.
