Hotel Operations Supervisor – Cysuites Apartment Hotel

CySuites Apartment Hotel is a luxurious serviced apartment hotel located along Church Road, off Waiyaki Way in Nairobi’s bustling Westland’s area. The hotel offers 32 two-bedroom apartment, 6 one-bedroom apartment and 2 penthouses.

The Hotel Operations Supervisor is responsible for providing overall coordination & support to Cysuites Apartment Hotel team, ensuring optimal efficiency of hotel operations

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist management with the supervision of all aspects of running the hotel, working with department heads, suppliers and stakeholders
  2. Supervise to ensure the hotel premises are in operative condition having met all safety regulations, health, legal and licensing requirements
  3. Attend and contribute to regular operations team meetings to discuss operational matters, sales targets, guest experience feedback, restaurant feedback and any staff issues
  4. Prepare, copy, and distribute reports to management as required.
  5. Supervise all hotel projects and liase with contractors for their timely completion.
  6. Work with departmental heads to investigate and handle complaints, disturbances, emergencies, etc. Anticipate potential problems by reviewing and monitoring operational issues, business flow and associate performance.
  7. Work with housekeeping to ensure all areas of the apartments are functioning to paramount standards (e.g. cleanliness, bathroom cleanliness, outdoor cleanliness and conditions and functionality)
  8. Supervise maintenance and ensure regular maintenance of all equipment in the Hotel and ensure they are in good working condition
  9. Coordinate with department managers when necessary to ensure optimal functioning of the hotel. Closely monitor departmental overheads/ expenditures and keep them within allowable cost margins
  10. Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or any other related field.
  2. Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
  3. Computer literacy and proficiency in use of the Hotel Information Management Systems and Revenue Management Systems desired.
  4. Excellent revenue management skills with experience of budgets, P&L’s and forecasting.
  5. Must have exceptional communication skills.
  6. Must have excellent customer relations and people management skills.
  7. Must be able to work well under pressure and under minimum supervision.
  8. Must have conflict resolution skills to keep guests happy and to help guarantee their continued patronage
