Job Purpose
Responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management, formulates partnerships across various functions to deliver value-added services that reflects the business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing the HR agenda, support in the development of HR strategies, policies, and practices to attract, motivate and retain staff at eh same time create a favorable working environment that fosters collaboration;
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership to develop solutions, programs and policies;
- Assess workplace performance and find issues hampering productivity;
- Undertake recruitment and selection of suitable candidates for the functions in line with the resourcing strategy;
- Undertake reward and recognition activities:
- Manage employee engagement activities, including settling disputes and dealing with complaints or grievances;
- Consults with line management, providing HR guidance on matters people;
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required;
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions);
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention;
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation;
- Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers;
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning;
- Identifies training needs for business units and provide coaching when required;
- Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
Skills & Experience
- Analytical abilities to assess performance and understand long-term strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree
- CHRP Certified Professional
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in HR with atleast 3 years in HR partnership.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including structure & work design, productivity analysis talent acquisition, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management among others.
- Creativity to come up with solutions and deal with the unique challenges of today’s dynamic business world.
- Organization skills to manage HR for different departments and teams.
- Communication skills to discuss strategies with executives and explain plans and requirements to managers and employees.
- Excellent interpersonal and relations building skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
