CARE Kenya is looking to recruit appropriate new members to the Board whose role will be to supervise the affairs of the Organization, providing direction, oversight, and determining the Organization’s vision, mission, and policies in alignment with its Objectives.

Overseeing the corporate governance framework and being accountable for the adoption and approval of strategic plans, monitoring operational performance, and managing risks.

Role of the Board in CARE Kenya
a) The Board will supervise the affairs of the Organization, providing direction, oversight, and
determining the Organization’s vision, mission, and policies in alignment with its Objectives.
b) The Board is responsible for overseeing the corporate governance framework.
c) The Board is accountable for the adoption and approval of strategic plans, monitoring
operational performance, and managing risks.
d) The Board ensures that the strategies adopted promote the sustainability of the
Organization.
e) The Board is tasked with approving the overall annual budget and appointing auditors for
the Organization.
