- Contract: 1-year renewable
- Gross Monthly Salary: KES 191,526.36

Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Consul, the successful candidate will:
- Assess and process visa applications, including checking document validity and preparing reports.
- Handle documentation and fee processing for visas.
- Maintain filing systems and archives for visa and consular files.
- Communicate via email and phone regarding visa applications and liaise with the Visa Application Centre.
- Process document legalizations and Belgian travel document applications.
- Assist with consular services, including civil registry files for Belgians.
- Keep the Embassy’s website updated with relevant consular information.
Required Competencies/Qualities
- Languages:
- Strong command of French or Somali (written and spoken).
- Excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
- Skills and Attributes:
- Analytical and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent IT skills and proficiency in managing digital workflows.
- High ethical standards and respect for data protection policies.
- Flexibility to manage diverse tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in working with people from varied backgrounds.
- Additional Requirements:
- No criminal record.
- Knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
Practical Details
- Start Date: 1 February 2025
- Work Permit: Required for foreign nationals
- Selection Process:
- Round 1: Pre-screening and practical tests followed by an initial interview.
- Round 2: Final interview with a selecting committee.
- Note: The Belgian Embassy does not request any payment during the selection process.
