Purpose of the Role
The Process Operator ensures efficient operation of process machines to produce high-quality products that meet both local and international standards, while maintaining safety and minimizing costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage blending and filtration plants for products like Smirnoff Vodka.
- Oversee offloading and scheduling of raw materials, including neutral spirits, flavors, and concentrates.
- Prepare and blend products according to technical manuals and recipes to meet production targets.
- Maintain accurate documentation for blending, offloading, and material consumption for SAP updates.
- Operate and maintain systems, including the sugar dissolving plant, demineralized water plant, and Kenya cane syrup plant.
- Support quality assurance by implementing Food Safety and Quality Management Systems (FSSC 22000, ISO 9001).
- Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure plant hygiene standards are met.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Minimum of a university degree in Science or Food Technology.
- Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience in HACCP environments.
- Proven ability to adhere to production standards and safety protocols.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
