The Davis & Shirtliff Group is the leading supplier of water and energy solutions in the region. The group is Kenyan based and operates through a network of Kenyan branches as well as regional subsidiaries in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Rwanda, South Sudan, DRC and Zimbabwe. 

The company has a total complement of over 800 highly trained and professional staff spread across the region and seeks to fill the position of Group Service and Fleet Administrator at Nairobi Head office.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and abilities and those who do not meet the criteria need not apply:

  • Upper 2nd Class degree in Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Ability to effectively manage a team of technicians.
  • Knowledge of Synchroteam Field Service or a similar platform, and data analytics skills are an advantage.
  • At least two years of similar work experience, preferably in Field Service Operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Power BI.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with IMS and ISO standards, fleet management, and familiarity with fleet management platforms is an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Reporting to the Group Service Manager, the job holder will be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Developing and updating work processes and documentation.
  • Managing technicians and execution of annual maintenance contracts on the Synchroteam platform.
  • Reporting on service performance and technicians’ productivity.
  • Enhancing visibility and time accountability by incorporating new features and processes on Synchroteam.
  • Improving service SOPs and verifying accuracy of task duration and charges through time reports.
  • Coordinating teleservice activities.
  • Maintaining detailed and regular group fleet records.
  • Monitoring fleet safety compliance and efficient operation.
  • Ensuring drivers’ adherence to applicable transport regulations.
  • Managing fleet costs and developing strategies for cost efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
