Cytonn Investments is an alternative investment manager, with a captive real estate development capability.

Cytonn has a unique strategy of coupling two compelling demand areas – the lack of high yielding investment products and the lack of institutional grade real estate. We distribute high yielding instruments to attract funding from investors, and we deploy that funding to investment grade, well planned and comprehensive real estate developments that are largely pre-sold.

The firm is looking for Content Creators/Producers Interns with advanced knowledge and elements necessary to make a good show/newscast and strong understanding of television studio operations/Interviews with 1 year experience.

The interns will conduct    research, write, edit and publish content for websites, blogs, videos, social media posts/campaigns, email campaigns, podcasts and more. They will work closely with the editorial team to produce content, research on topical issues for storytelling, identify and conduct interviews with story sources

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Research, write, edit and publish content for websites, blogs, videos, social media posts/campaigns, email campaigns, podcasts and more.
2. Work closely with the editorial team to produce content.
3. Research on topical issues for story telling
4. Identify and conduct interviews with story sources
5. Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares)
6. Become an influencer who makes an impact on the company and within the industry through the production of digital content
7. Interview industry professionals and incorporate their views in blog posts/social media.
8. Use your editing, content management to publish and edit content across various digital platforms.
9. Use your knowledge of SEO and content development to create digital content that helps us get found via search engines, and showcases our company as a leader within the industry
10. Prepare well-structured drafts using digital publishing platforms
11. Edit and proofread written pieces before publication
12. Coordinate with editorial and design teams to illustrate articles
13. Monitor and evaluate performance of the content sites (e.g. conversion and bounce rates)
14. Update our websites/blogs as needed.
15. Any other duties as shall be assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

1. Must have advanced knowledge of elements necessary to make a good show/newscast and strong understanding of television studio operations/Interviews with 1 year experience.
2. Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)/social media management, YouTube
3. Proven work experience as a Content Creator with a focus on interviews/video, copywriter or similar role • Portfolio of video content and or published articles.
4. Excellent writing and editing skills in English
5. An ability to fact-check long-form content pieces.
6. Time-management skills
7. Familiarity with SEO, latest marketing/social media trends
8. BSc or Diploma in Journalism/Media or relevant field
9. 1 year experience in Journalism/Media or relevant field
