Cytonn Asset Managers Limited (CAML) is a regulated Fund Manager by the Capital Markets Authority and the Retirement Benefits Authority.

The company is also a licensed Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) Manager under the Capital Markets Authority. Our objective is to offer superior risk-adjusted investment returns to our clients through investments in both the public and alternative investments markets.

The fund manager provides Cytonn Money Market Fund (CMMF) (https://cytonn.com/asset-managers/money-market-fund), one of the high yielding money market funds in Kenya, which is fully automated for our retail investors.

CAML investors include global and local institutional investors, individual retail investors, and diaspora investors.

This internship allows individuals to gain valuable business management and administrative skills in a fast-paced office setting. The interns will also have exposure to areas of the organization such as Administration, College, and Corporate experience 

Cytonn Technologies is setting up a Technical College which will provide comprehensive, quality technical training on software development. We are therefore looking to acquire and retain the best talent, to be part of this vision.

The position will allow the individual to work with a young, talented, and innovative team that will set up the business administration arm. At the end of the 3-month paid internship, successful interns who exhibit high aptitude, creativity, and teamwork will be eligible for full-time employment.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in maintaining the CEO’s office appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel
  2. Provide support to maintain and update supplier information and vendor contracts on the database
  3. Act as the first point of contact for the institution, answer all incoming phone calls in a pleasant, informed manner for the purpose of providing information and responding to queries
  4. Review the college operating practices and implement improvements where necessary.
  5. Maintain up to date knowledge on the institution, its offering and any other relevant information and be able to convey the same information to enquiring parties clearly
  6. Assist with all admissions related tasks, including preparations for and assistance during student inductions and student meetings
  7. Assist in administration and corporate matters as may be required
  8. Any other duty assigned

Requirements

  1. Must have achieved at least a C+ or equivalent in high school
  2. A diploma certificate in Business Admin/HR or related field
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  4. Ability to work in a team environment and perform duties with minimum supervision
  5. Readiness and ability to meet strict deadlines
  6. Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  7. Knowledge in procurement will be an added advantage
  8. Must have at least 1 year experience in a similar position or undertaken business administration roles. Having worked in a tertiary institution is an added advantage
