Housekeeping steward – CySuites Apartment Hotel

CySuites Apartment Hotel is a luxurious serviced apartment hotel located along Church Road, off Waiyaki Way in Nairobi’s bustling Westland’s area. The hotel offers 32 two-bedroom apartment, 6 one-bedroom apartment and 2 penthouses.

In order to better service our clients, we are looking for highly motivated, self-driven, team players to join our team as housekeepers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products; ensure safe and sanitary storage and care of products
  2. Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping of hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors as needed
  3. In charge of vacuuming equipment; vacuum and clean carpets and perform further treatments such as shampoo or stain-removal as needed
  4. Dispose of trash from bins and containers
  5. Dust and polish furniture and room accessories as needed
  6. Scrub sinks, basins, bathtubs, showers, and toilets in private and public bathrooms
  7. Change linens and gather used linens such as sheets or towels for laundering
  8. Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters as needed
  9. Keep all public spaces neat and tidy
  10. Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered
  11. Manage and account for any inventory and items issued to the them
  12. Conduct monthly and regular stock takes of all items in the rooms of operation
  13. Provide high standards of cleanliness in rooms
  14. Getting feedback from guests regarding their experience and communicate the feedback to the relevant parties..
  15. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Diploma or a Certificate in Hotel and Institutional Housekeeping and Laundry or equivalent
  2. A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
  3. Highly motivated and target driven individuals with relevant work experience
  4. Work planning and organization skills
  5. Communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Safety and hygiene awareness
