Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise all enumeration activities in the locations assigned during the data collection process.
- Efficiently locate, identify, and assign households to enumerators within the assigned area.
- Strategically assign households to enumerators based on workload and expertise.
- Monitor, check, and assess the quality of the enumerators’ work and review the questionnaires for completeness, consistency, and accuracy before posting them into the system.
- Double-check the completeness of the selected households selected from each location and
- Ensure that completion of selected household interviews in a given location and within the time necessary for the successful completion of the daily workload.
- Conduct an initial review of completed questionnaires for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Responsible for shadowing the enumerators during data collection and filling out the shadowing questionnaire.
- Submit the final approved questionnaire into the data collection system.
- Discuss any mistakes found with the enumerators and provide the steps for managing the errors.
- Monitor the condition of the data collection equipment assigned to the enumerators.
- Establish and maintain communication channels with local relevant authorities.
- Take responsibility for the logistical needs of the field team, ensuring smooth operations.
- Develop and execute comprehensive travel and communication plans for the team.
- Ensure an adequate and consistent supply of necessary materials for the field team.
- Conduct daily meetings with field enumerators for updates and briefings.
- Provide detailed briefings and daily reports to the County Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator based on daily field activities.
- Other duties assigned by the QA Coordinator.
Educational Qualification
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree qualifications or its equivalent.
- Computer proficiency and previous experience working with digital data collection tools.
Experience Requirements
- Experience supervising, planning, and coordinating household surveys and randomly shadowing data collected.
- Able and willing to walk long distances and work long hours.
- A Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing and supervising field data collection teams.
Additional Requirements
- Candidate must be a resident of the location of interest, fluent in English Kiswahili and conversant with the local language.
- Prior experience working on social development projects is an added advantage.
- Experience in motorbike riding with a valid license is an added advantage.
Compensation & Other Benefits
Successful candidates will be paid a rate of Kshs 3,000/= (Three Thousand) per day to cater for daily wage and logistics and based on daily performance targets as will be outlined in the contract.
