CHIEF OFFICER PUBLIC WORKS, HOUSING AND ENERGY, JOB GROUP ‘S’ (1 POST)

Remuneration – As Guided by Salaries and Remuneration Commission
Terms of Service –  Contract

Requirement for Appointment

For Appointment to this Grade, the Applicant must have;
 Kenya Citizen,
 A relevant Bachelors Degree recognized in Kenya,
 A Masters Degree will be an added advantage,
 Be a Strategic Thinker and Result Oriented,
 Be a Member of the Professional Body in the Discipline,
 Proven Experience of at least ten (10) years of service from a reputable organization,
 Computer Literacy,
 Meets the Requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution

Duties and Responsibilities

 Oversee smooth running of the Public Work, Housing and Energy Division,
 Implementation of County Executive Committee Resolutions as guided by the Executive
Committee Member,
 Formulate and Implement effective Divisional Plans in Line with Vision 2030, CIDP III and other
Sectoral Goals,
 Proper Management and Supervision of Human Resources in the Division,
 Planning and Coordination of the Divisional Activities,
 Develop, Update and Implement all Divisional Policies and Procedures,
 Create Linkages and Collaboration with other Stakeholders in the Field,
 Ensure Compliance with the National Values and Principles of Good Governance as outlined in
Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution.

CHIEF OFFICER YOUTH EMPOWERMENT, SPORTS AND THE ARTS, JOB GROUP ‘S’ ONE (1) POST

Remuneration  – As Guided by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission
Terms of Service  – Contract

Requirement for Appointment

For Appointment to this Grade, the Applicant must have;
 A Kenya Citizen,
 A Youth who must not be more than thirty-five (35) years old
 A relevant Bachelors Degree recognized in Kenya,
 A Masters Degree will be an added advantage,
 Be a Strategic Thinker and Result Oriented,
 Proven experience of at least five (5) years of service from a Reputable Organization,
 Computer Literacy,
 Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution

Requirement for Appointment;

For Appointment to this Grade, the Applicant must have;
 A Kenya Citizen,
 A relevant Bachelors Degree recognized in Kenya,

ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON (MEDICAL SPECIALIST II/SENIOR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF MEDICAL SERVICES), JOB GROUP ‘Q’ 1 POST

Terms of Service –  Permanent and Pensionable
Basic Salary –  Kshs. 99,900 p.m. (min) – Kshs. 133,870 p.m. (max)
House Allowance  – Kshs. 20,000 p.m.
Commuter Allowance –  Kshs. 16,000 p.m.
Doctor’s Allowance  – As per the Current SRC Guidelines
Medical Cover –  Comprehensive Medical Cover

a) Requirements for Appointment

 A master’s Degree in Orthopedic Surgery from a recognized Institution
 A Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBCHB); and
 A KCSE grade that qualifies for admission to MBCHB.

b) Duties and Responsibilities

 Conduct Weekly Orthopedic Outpatient Clinics;
 Conduct Weekly Major Ward rounds;
 Conduct Orthopedic related Surgical Operations (Weekly rounds);
 Respond to Orthopedic related Emergencies;
 Interpret Diagnostic Tests such as CT Scans, MRIs, X-Rays etc;
 Prescribe and Administer Medications as appropriate;
 Supervise and Train Junior Doctors, Interns and Medical Students;
 Keep and Update Patients’ Medical Record/Notes;
 Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Medical Team.

OFFICE OF THE COUNTY SECRETARY AND HEAD OF PUBLIC SERVICE

SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICERS, JOB GROUP ‘L’ 2 POSTS

Terms of Service – Permanent and Pensionable
Basic Salary –  Kshs. 42,970 p.m. (min) – Kshs. 59,120 p.m. (max)
House Allowance –  Kshs. 13,000 p.m.
Commuter Allowance –  Kshs. 6,000 p.m.

a) Requirements for Appointment

For Appointment to this grade, an Officer must have;
 Served as a Human Resource Management Officer for a Period of three (3) years,
 A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management / Human Resource Development,
Industrial Relations or any other relevant Qualification from a recognized Institution,
 Be a Registered Member with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM)

b) Duties and Responsibilities

DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, LIVESTOCK AND FISHERIES

AGRICULTURAL OFFICER I, JOB GROUP ‘K’ 1 POST

Terms of Service  –  Permanent and Pensionable
Basic Salary –  Kshs. 38,270 p.m. (min) – Kshs. 51,170 p.m. (max)
House Allowance –  Kshs. 7,500 p.m.
Commuter Allowance –  Kshs. 5,000 p.m.
Medical Cover –  Comprehensive Medical Cover

a) Requirements for Appointment

 A Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following fields: Horticulture, Agronomy or
Seed Science and Technology from a recognized Institution;
 Worked in a busy registered Commercial Seed Production Seed Production Farm/Unit,
Plant Propagation Unit or Institution with emphasis on Hydroponic / Aeroponics
Production Technologies for at least 2 years;
 Must have experience in managing Aeroponics and Hydroponic Greenhouses;
 Must have knowledge in Computerized Fertigation Systems; and
 Good Record Keeping Skills.

b) Duties and Responsibilities
  •  Plan and Oversee Production and Multiplication of Potato Seeds in the County’s
    Aeroponics, Hydroponics and Field Units;
     Supervision of Casuals / Staff in the Seed Production Aeroponics, Hydroponic and Field
    Units;
     Supervise Irrigation / Fertigation and Seeding, Hardening, Transplanting and Crop
    Husbandry;
     Maintain high levels of Sanitation and Hygiene in the Seed Unit as per the requirements of
    KEPHIS and other National and International Certification Standards, the Facility has
    subscribed to;
     Crop Pest and Disease Management;
     Operate and Maintain Seed Unit Equipment;
     Contribute to a Safe and Orderly Working Environment;
     Maintain Proper Operations Records in the Unit;
     Training and Linkage of Seed Unit with Seed Multipliers;
     Participate in Seed Data Collection and Surveys;
     Compilation of Period Reports;
     Perform any other Lawful Duties assigned by the Supervisor.
