County Government Of Nyandarua Hiring Chief Officer Finance

The County Public Service Board of Nyandarua seeks qualified and competent candidates for the following positions in various departments:

Requirements for Appointment:

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field recognized in Kenya (a Master’s degree is an added advantage)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA K) qualification and must be in good standing with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK)
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking, results orientation, and computer literacy
  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Finance Department in the County Treasury, ensuring smooth departmental operations
  • Implement County Executive Committee resolutions, guided by the Executive Committee Member
  • Coordinate resource allocation in line with national and county policies
  • Facilitate capacity building in finance, revenue, supply chain management, and internal audit
  • Link the county budget with sectoral and county cash plans
  • Conduct risk assessments on budget policy
  • Develop and coordinate the county’s budgetary requirements and activities
  • Advise accounting officers on financial matters and oversee public expenditure reviews

Department of Health Services

1. Orthopaedic Surgeon (Medical Specialist I/Senior Assistant Director of Medical Services)

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct weekly orthopaedic outpatient clinics and major ward rounds
  • Perform orthopaedic surgeries and respond to emergencies
  • Interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., CT scans, MRIs, X-rays)
  • Prescribe treatments and oversee patient records
  • Supervise junior doctors, interns, and students
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBCHB) and a Master’s Degree in Orthopaedic Surgery from a recognized institution
  • Registered and licensed with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council
  • Exceptional manual dexterity and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy

2. Internist Physician (Senior Assistant Director of Medical Services/Medical Specialist I)

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Provide diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of medical patients
  • Offer specialized internal medicine clinics and inpatient care services
  • Train and consult in internal medicine, conduct health research, and analyze medical data
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBCHB) and a Master’s Degree in Internal Medicine from a recognized institution
  • Valid registration and practicing license with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council
  • Proven competence in patient management, communication, and managerial skills
  • Computer literacy
