The purpose of this role is to ensure the safe guarding of company assets & inventory whilst minimizing risk, fraud and losses through ensuring compliance to stock management and control processes and procedures. 
Key Purpose Statement
To efficiently operate a forklift, inclusive of autonomous maintenance tasks, in order to handle quality products, maintaining high GMP and OSH standards; and sharing knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment and to ensure compliance with processes and procedures at all times.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Develop a project Safety Management Plan (SMP) for the project to ensure a safe work 
environment for all engaged contractors as well as employees and visitors whose safety may 
potentially be impacted by the project.Provide fulltime support to the project by maintaining constant and visible presence at project 
work sites and enforcing safe behaviour, including permit and PPE compliance among 
contractors.Identify, regularly review and be familiar with all legislation and Company standards 
applicable to Project to ensure full compliance.Verify relevant contractor HSE training and competencies as necessary prior to on boarding.Assist contractors with carrying out risk assessments and agreeing controls (method 
statements) for all Project jobs.Provide Site contractor induction and daily HSE briefings to ensure the right level of HSE 
awareness among contractors.Directly issue all necessary permits to work to ensure that adequate controls are applied prior 
to authorizing any high-risk activities.Develop and post appropriate signage at all work sites of the project.Ensure that appropriate emergence response arrangements are established for the Project, 
including adequate first aid provision.Ensure that all incidents related to the Project are reported and appropriately investigated.Ensure that any agreed incident corrective actions are followed up on and completed.Generate and maintain all HSE related records for all Site phases of the Project.Coordinate a regular HSE review meeting with the project team and Site HSSE Management.Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Skills, Experience & Education Qualifications Minimum Requirement
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education and Forklift Drivers Licence
Experience Work Experience
Minimum of 2 years work experience as a Forklift Operator in an FMCG Environment
General Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Operated Applicable Machine
Use and Operate forklift safely and correctly as per specific operating instructions and applicable to the specific machine/equipment. Line utilization within agreed targets. Asset care as per agreed target. All change parts to be handled as per laid down procedures.
Lubrication and inspection schedules adhered to as per the manufacturer’s specifications. Machine and working environment maintained clean and neat as per GMP requirements. Self-discovered faults repaired and
2. Understoon Stucture & Functions of Machinery in Order to Detect Abnormalities
All abnormalities detected and addressed so that break-downs are kept within the agreed limits. Daily inspection data captured and acted upon to rectify problems. First line troubleshooting carried out and recorded.
3. Carry out Autonomous Maintainance & PM Tasks
Daily machine inspection check sheet completed as per laid down standards. All work carried out as per given standards and requirements.
4. Maintain Quality Standards
Handle products according to Quality requirements Manage compliance to quality and safety standards in the team
5.  Managing Health, Safety, Environment and Risk
Apply knowledge of HSE legislation and company HSE policies and procedures Drive HSE compliance on the area of operation. Manage and close out health and safety incidences on the line
