Capital Markets Authority Hiring Temporary Assistant – Software Developer

The Capital Markets Authority is a statutory agency charged with the responsibility of regulating and developing an efficient capital market in Kenya. The Authority invites applications for the following position:

Reporting to the Senior Manager Information, Communication and Technology, the selected candidate will be responsible for;

  1. Supporting development activities for new projects and applications to ensure thorough analysis, fault rectification, unit testing and appropriate documentation;
  2. Undertaking maintenance and ‘bug fix’ development activities for existing applications;
  3. Breaking down program specifications into simple elements and translate this logic into a programming language;
  4. Testing sample datasets to check that output from the application works as intended;
  5. Conducting user-acceptance testing to ensure the application can be used optimally;
  6. Providing support to departments in the development of bid specifications for special software systems required to implement new applications or systems; and
  7. Undertaking any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
