APHRC Hiring Program Coordinator for the CARTA Program

APHRC Hiring Program Coordinator for the CARTA Program

The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) is a premier Africa-based and Africa-led research institution committed to generating evidence, strengthening research capacity, and informing policy action on health and development across sub-Saharan Africa. With its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, and a West Africa Regional Office (WARO) in Dakar, Senegal, APHRC is at the forefront of driving change in the African research and development ecosystem.

APHRC co-leads the Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA), an Africa-led initiative aimed at strengthening African universities to produce world-class researchers and scholars. CARTA addresses a critical challenge in the African academy: the lack of robust research and training infrastructure to attract, train, and retain the continent’s brightest minds.

To support this mission, APHRC seeks a Program Coordinator to focus on three core aspects of CARTA: maintaining the pipeline of early-career researchers, creating research hubs, and fostering engagement between the CARTA community and society. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to building Africa’s research ecosystem and shaping the next generation of African researchers.

Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy:
