APHRC conducts policy-relevant research on population, health, education, urbanization and related development issues in sub-Saharan Africa.

APHRC seeks to recruit a Government Liaison Officer to join our Program Synergy team. This is a new role arising from the implementation of the current five-year strategic plan which has, subsequently triggered tremendous growth in our programs. To contribute in strengthening our approach to Evidence-Informed Decision Making, the role will be responsible for liaising and cultivating relationships with various government agencies on behalf of the Center and support implementation of programs done in collaboration with government agencies.

POLICY ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

APHRC seeks to recruit three (3) Policy Engagement Managers to join its Policy Engagement and Communications (PEC) Program. The three positions will be based in the PEC’s Synergy Unit – which contributes to and collaborates with researchers on translating research evidence into different formats for technical and non-academic audiences. It also positions our evidence and experts, contributing to raising the profile of the Center.

TERMS OF REFERENCE – CONSULTANT RESEARCHER

Deadline:  October 10, 2023

APHRC seeks to recruit a consultant to lead a feasibility study to assess the readiness to establish biobanking of patient samples from selected health facilities in Uganda and Kenya. The Initial contract period will be 6 months with a possibility of extension based on performance and
additional activities to undertake.

The consultant will provide overall project management for a feasibility study with the following specific tasks; obtain ethical approvals, recruit a study team and supervise study activities.
