The Institute for Human Development is looking to hire a Consultant – Health Economist.

Job Summary

The purpose of this job is to carry out economic evaluation of the mental health intervention to be implemented under the health workers well-being and resilience study at the Institute for Human Development.

Responsibilities

Protocol Development stage:

  • Develop economic evaluation tools.

Study design and pilot stage:

  • Refine the data collection tools based on the finalized intervention.
  • Advise the study team on areas costing data need to be collected.

Implementation stage:

  • Collecting of costing data

Close-out stage:

  • Analysis of costing data
  • Preparation of report

Requirements

  • PhD in Health Economics or master’s degree in health economics with a minimum of 3 years related work experience.
  • Demonstratable experience carrying out economic evaluations for mental health interventions will be desirable.
  • Good writing and communication skills.
  • A team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and ethical standards in services delivery.
