The Institute for Human Development is looking to hire a Consultant – Health Economist.
Job Summary
The purpose of this job is to carry out economic evaluation of the mental health intervention to be implemented under the health workers well-being and resilience study at the Institute for Human Development.
Responsibilities
Protocol Development stage:
- Develop economic evaluation tools.
Study design and pilot stage:
- Refine the data collection tools based on the finalized intervention.
- Advise the study team on areas costing data need to be collected.
Implementation stage:
- Collecting of costing data
Close-out stage:
- Analysis of costing data
- Preparation of report
Requirements
- PhD in Health Economics or master’s degree in health economics with a minimum of 3 years related work experience.
- Demonstratable experience carrying out economic evaluations for mental health interventions will be desirable.
- Good writing and communication skills.
- A team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and ethical standards in services delivery.
