Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Finance Intern to join our dynamic team in Nairobi, Kenya. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial operations and analysis within a corporate setting. As a Finance Intern, you will work closely with our finance team to support various financial activities and contribute to the company’s financial health.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports
- Support the daily reconciliation of financial transactions
- Help in the development and maintenance of financial models and spreadsheets
- Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and anomalies
- Support the team in various ad-hoc financial projects and tasks
- Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Help in the preparation of presentations for management meetings
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial management systems
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Keen interest in learning about corporate finance and financial analysis
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards is a plus
