Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Finance Intern to join our dynamic team in Nairobi, Kenya. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial operations and analysis within a corporate setting. As a Finance Intern, you will work closely with our finance team to support various financial activities and contribute to the company’s financial health.

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports
  • Support the daily reconciliation of financial transactions
  • Help in the development and maintenance of financial models and spreadsheets
  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and anomalies
  • Support the team in various ad-hoc financial projects and tasks
  • Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Help in the preparation of presentations for management meetings

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial management systems
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Keen interest in learning about corporate finance and financial analysis
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards is a plus
