Counselor (Permanent and Pensionable)

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Responsible for all counseling issues
2. Coordinate individual and/or group counseling of students on various issues
3. Participate in orientation of new students
4. Prepare and/or review general information booklets for students
5. Liaise with the wardens on matters concerning counseling and guidance of students
6. Coordinate family life counseling and education in conjunction with the university Health unit.
7. Liaise with the Deans of schools in counseling students with issues concerning academic matters
8. Organize counseling seminars/workshops for students and staff
9. Prepare and submit Performance Contract reports to relevant bodies
10. Carry out periodic on-campus analysis of alcohol drug and substance abuse and/or any other life-threatening issues
11. Monitor the performances of Peer Educators and Peer Counselors
12. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

Senior Security Officer III

 Duties & Responsibilities

1. Collect intelligence information from a variety of sources, including human intelligence (HUMINT), signals intelligence (SIGINT), and open-source intelligence (OSINT)
2. Analyse intelligence information to identify trends, patterns, and threats to the
3. Disseminate intelligence information to university leadership, security personnel, and other relevant stakeholders.
4. Monitoring social media and other online sources for potential threats to the University
5. Conducting physical security assessments of University facilities
6. Interviewing students, faculty, and staff to gather intelligence information
7. Developing and implementing intelligence collection plans to monitor specific threats
8. Managing a network of confidential informants
9. Conduct counterintelligence operations to protect the university from intelligence threats
10. Briefing university leadership and security personnel on intelligence findings
11. Coordinating with law enforcement and other intelligence agencies to share information and coordinate responses.
12. Train and Manage intelligence assets.
13. Provide support and expertise to the university’s emergency response team during emergency situations.
14. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

 Duties and Responsibilities

1. Examine workplace conditions to make sure they conform to applicable OSHA standard
2. Train employees on the hazards they are exposed to and proper precautions
3. Make sure employees have and use safe tools and equipment and properly maintain this equipment.
4. Establish or update operating procedures and communicate them so that employees follow safety and health requirements
5. Conduct safety audit in the University
6. Assist in responding to and investigating concerns/complaints from workers/employers and assists in taking appropriate action.
7. Assist in investigating accidents or injuries that occur in the workplace.
