The Council of Legal Education (the Council) is established under the Legal Education Act, No. 27 of 2012 of the Laws of Kenya. The core functions of the Council of Legal Education are to regulate legal education and training in Kenya, to license and supervise legal education providers, to conduct the Advocates Training Program (ATP) Examination, to recognize and approve qualifications in law obtained outside Kenya and to advise the Government of Kenya on matters relating to legal education and training.
The Council wishes to recruit a highly qualified, dynamic and strategic-oriented individual who exhibits high standards of professionalism for the following positions.
The successful candidate shall report directly to the Chairperson of the Council and will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in the management of the Council to ensure the execution of the Council’s mandate. The job holder shall be in charge of the day-to-day management of the affairs of the Council and may perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Council from time to time.
