Remuneration
- Salary Scale : Ksh. 50,610 – Ksh. 90,200 p.m
- House Allowance : Ksh. 35, 000
- Commuter Allowance : Ksh. 8,000
Attributes

Duties and Responsibilities
Headquarters
Key duties and responsibilities at this level will entail initiating studies on emerging foreign and international events, and recommending appropriate policy interventions; organising and participating in bilateral and international conferences and meetings, drafting reports and identifying areas of implementation; analyzing and initiating implementation of reports from bilateral and international conferences and meetings as well as those received from Kenya Missions; maintaining a database on vacancies in international and inter-governmental organizations and facilitating employment of Kenya nationals; networking with Ministries/Departments, inter-governmental organizations and diplomatic missions accredited to Kenya; preparing detailed analytical background papers, updates and country profiles; providing consular and protocol services; and supervising, mentoring and guiding officers.
Missions
At the Mission, work will entail participating in bilateral and international conferences and meetings, drafting reports and identifying areas of implementation; monitoring and analyzing political and economic developments in the host country and drafting appropriate reports; drafting responses to media reports on Kenya; networking with members of the diplomatic corps, officials of the host government and media representatives; organizing trade, cultural and other events to promote Kenya; organizing official functions, and programmes for Kenyan dignitaries; performing consular and protocol duties; preparing briefs, statements and diplomatic notes and messages; and supervising, guiding and mentoring staff.
