  1. Corporation Secretary/ Chief Legal Officer:
    As a pivotal figure, the Corporation Secretary/ Chief Legal Officer is responsible for overseeing all legal matters within the Authority. This includes providing expert legal advice, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and handling any legal issues that may arise in the course of KAA’s operations.
  2. General Manager, Procurement & Logistics:
    The General Manager, Procurement & Logistics, is entrusted with the critical task of managing and coordinating procurement activities for the Authority. This includes sourcing and acquiring necessary goods and services to support the efficient functioning of airports and aviation services. Moreover, the role involves overseeing logistics to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of resources.
  3. General Manager, Marketing & Business Development:
    This position plays a vital role in driving KAA’s growth and development by formulating effective marketing strategies and implementing business development initiatives. The General Manager, Marketing & Business Development, is instrumental in expanding the Authority’s reach, attracting more airlines and passengers, and fostering partnerships to enhance the overall aviation experience in Kenya.
  4. General Manager, Finance:
    As the financial steward of the organization, the General Manager, Finance, holds a crucial role in managing financial matters and ensuring prudent fiscal planning. This includes budgeting, financial reporting, financial analysis, and resource allocation to ensure optimal utilization of financial resources.
  5. Manager, Airport Operations:
    The Manager, Airport Operations, oversees the smooth functioning of airport operations to ensure a seamless and efficient experience for passengers and airlines. This includes managing ground handling services, security protocols, terminal operations, and overall airport safety and security.
  6. Manager, Birds & Wildlife Control:
    Airports are susceptible to bird and wildlife hazards that can pose risks to aircraft operations. The Manager, Birds & Wildlife Control, is responsible for devising and implementing strategies to mitigate such risks, safeguarding both aviation safety and wildlife conservation.
  7. Chief Fire Services Officer:
    Safety is of paramount importance in aviation, and the Chief Fire Services Officer plays a critical role in managing the fire services department. This includes emergency response planning, firefighting, and ensuring that airports are equipped with the necessary fire safety measures.
  8. Manager, Procurement & Logistics:
    Working closely with the General Manager, the Manager, Procurement & Logistics, assists in handling procurement and logistics activities, supporting the efficient functioning of the Authority.
  9. Manager, Performance Management & Change:
    Driving organizational improvement and adaptability, the Manager, Performance Management & Change, is responsible for implementing performance management systems, identifying areas for improvement, and fostering a culture of continuous development.
  10. Manager, Training & Development:
    To ensure a competent workforce, the Manager, Training & Development, develops and implements training programs to enhance employees’ skills and knowledge, fostering career growth and professional development within the organization.
  11. Manager, Pensions:
    Managing pension-related matters is crucial in ensuring the welfare of KAA’s employees. The Manager, Pensions, handles pension schemes, benefits, and retirement plans for staff members.
  12. Airport Engineer:
    Airport infrastructure requires specialized engineering expertise, and the Airport Engineer plays a vital role in planning, designing, and supervising the construction and maintenance of airport facilities.
  13. Airport Engineer:
    Another essential position focused on airport engineering, the second Airport Engineer works alongside their colleagues to ensure the proper functioning and development of airport infrastructure.
  14. Mechanical Engineer:
    The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for overseeing mechanical engineering tasks related to airport equipment, machinery, and systems.
  15. Land Surveyor:

  22. Internship/ Apprenticeship Program:

Terms

The Corporation Secretary/ Chief Legal Officer and General Manager positions are available on a three-year contract term, renewable subject to satisfactory performance or attainment of mandatory retirement age, whichever comes earlier.

On the other hand, the other positions are offered on permanent and pensionable terms as per the provisions of the Authority’s Human Resource Policy and Procedures Manual.
